RIM will officially unveil BlackBerry 10 in under a month’s time. The company has clearly been busy putting the final touches to the platform. And today we’ve got yet another glimpse of what to expect come January 30.
The leaked images show off BlackBerry 10’s UI, which looks a hell of a lot more polished than the version we saw a few months back. It’s more iOS/Android than Windows Phone 8, but it does look impeccably stylish, which makes us think that what we’re looking at here is the finished article.
BlackBerry 10, unbeknownst to us, will also feature its own Voice control service, according to the leaked images. We’d assume this service, whatever it’s called, will be similar to Apple’s Siri assistant and Google Now.
Tinhte, the web blog that secured the leaked images, also posted in-app shots of Foursquare, Facebook, and Twitter. Again, everything looks very Android/iOS here – but that’s no bad thing in our book.
RIM will unveil BlackBerry 10 on January 30 and is expected to ship the first batch of BlackBerry 10 devices before the close of Q1 2013. That said, we’ve heard plenty of talk about RIM speeding up the release process after better than expected network reception to the new hardware.
All in, BlackBerry 10 is looking pretty damn good. Could it be the dark horse of 2013’s highly competitive mobile market? After seeing these images we’re inclined to think that might be the case... watch out Microsoft.
