The Samsung Galaxy S4 will launch in April, according to reports, and feature a 5-inch display, quad-core CPU, and S-Pen just like the Galaxy Note 2.
Like a lot of big launches for this year, the Galaxy S4 is expected to feature a full 1080p HD display much like HTC’s already launched DROID DNA handset.
‘The rumor goes on suggesting that the next Galaxy S device may also ship with Samsung’s quad-core Exynos 5440 chip which would use ARM big.LITTLE architecture with an energy-efficient A7 processor for basic tasks paired with A15 for more intense loads,’ reports Into Mobile.
At present it’s worth noting that these are just rumours, and should be viewed accordingly. Some of the claims make sense, however, like the 5-inch 1080p display and quad-core processor.
But others, such as the S-Pen functionality, sound a little dubious. Why would Samsung infringe on the Note 2’s USP with its new flagship? That doesn’t make any sense to us, unless it’s looking to introduce stylus-support to all of its major handsets?
Either way –– all will become clear at the end of Q1 2013. Perhaps we’ll even see or hear something new regarding this handset at CES 2013 next week?
We can certainly live in hope… until then, check out our need to know feature on the Samsung Galaxy S4.
