Samsung Galaxy Frame mid-range handset coming to MWC 2013

Samsung might not be showcasing the Galaxy S4 at 2013’s mobile expo events but what we will apparently be seeing is a range of other devices. One such handset is reportedly the Samsung Galaxy Frame.

The Galaxy Frame will be a mid-range device, allegedly with similar specs to the Galaxy Mini, but it should be running a recent build of Android such as Jelly Bean 4.1 or 4.2.

Expect something along the lines of an 800MHz single core processor, a dependency on microSD storage and a small, low-resolution display. At the very least it should be affordable.

Whether this device will follow the Galaxy S3 aesthetic style Samsung has carried across most of its recent handsets isn’t clear. It’s possible we’ll see something entirely different, however, as Samsung is said to be preparing a big re-branding effort for the beginning of next year.

The story comes via Sammobile which doesn’t cite sources for the information but asserts the Galaxy Frame will initially only be available in white and will arrive at the end of 2013’s first quarter.
